Cooking in a household is a different matter
There is no menu, no service team and no head chef setting the direction. There is a family with preferences that shift over the course of a stay, guests who turn up at short notice, and meal times that follow the day rather than the other way round.
Added to that is everything others do in a business: shopping at the market, keeping stock, often clearing up afterwards too. A private chef works alone — anyone who has never done it usually underestimates not the cooking but the rest.
Closeness requires discretion
Someone working in a private household notices who is visiting, what is discussed at the table and how the family gets along. None of that belongs outside. We talk about this beforehand, not afterwards.
What we need for the enquiry
Dates, how many people are in the house, whether and how often guests join, and what kind of cooking you want. Intolerances and diets matter as well — for a private chef they decide more about the selection than any CV.
Tell us also whether someone should live in or come daily. For the question of who is suitable at all, that is often the single most important point.
