Four services, four different demands
Breakfast. Early, fast, many guests in a short window, little conversation. Keeping an overview counts for more than elegance here.
Restaurant. À la carte, recommendations, wine knowledge, handling special requests. The service with the most talking.
Bar. Its own craft, its own pace, often until late. A good restaurant waiter is not automatically a bartender.
Banqueting. Large groups, simultaneous service, clear commands. Close to event work, only in your own house.
Languages at the table
